Sycamore Cabin Community Grand Opening

Located right behind Blumenfield’s District Office, the ‘Sycamore Cabin Community’ boasts 52 tiny homes with 100 beds that will be made available to those experiencing homelessness on nearby streets in his West Valley district.

Rental Assistance Opens March 30

The City of Los Angeles, in partnership with the federal government and the State of California, has created a new emergency rental assistance program to assist low-income renters who have been unable to pay their rent due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Apply by April 30.

City Controller Audit of HHH

City Controller Ron Galperin recently discussed his audit of HHH which was voted on in 2016 to fund supportive housing. A total of $362 million of the 1.2 billion has been issued and less than half of it has been spent. He calls for an increased sense of urgency, reevaluation of the most expensive proposals and consideration of other options.
