The Winnetka Neighborhood Council and Councilmember Blumenfield’s Office worked together on a problem alley at 8334 Penfield near Roscoe July 10, 2018. Transient debris and overgrowth were blocking the alley and creating a nuisance. Blumenfield’s Office was able to coordinate the removal of the transient debris. Winnetka Neighborhood Council Board Member Judith Giglio personally funded a crew from Valley Landscapers owned by Alfonso Gonzales to clear the overgrowth and assisted with the clean up of the mountain of leaves. “Judith deserves a round of applause for her tireless efforts and unwavering dedication to community service,” said Keith Banks, Winnetka Field Deputy for Councilmember Blumenfield. Judith commended the landscaping crew noting that they worked so hard and deserve a lot of credit.
