It’s been just over two months since unprecedented wildfires devastated Los Angeles and the world watched as LA’s heroes – our firefighters, police officers, and first responders – fought tirelessly to protect our city. Angelenos have shown unwavering strength and resilience, and I want to thank the countless local, state, and federal partners who are helping us lead the fastest recovery effort in modern California history. So many of you also stepped up to donate food, clothing, money, and most importantly, your time. It’s the definition of LA strong.
While I remain laser-focused on our recovery, I do want to recognize that we continue to move forward on other important city priorities. Since January, we’ve brought more than 240 unhoused Angelenos indoors through Inside Safe. This month we also announced that violent crime in the MacArthur Park area has decreased significantly following City action.
This month we also celebrate National Women’s History Month, the return of our Service Day LA events, and much more to come. I want to assure you that my community engagement team will continue to build connections and work with you to uplift LA’s neighborhoods. We’re here for you. Thank you for all that you do
